George Foreman initially retired from his illustrious boxing career in 1977. Ten years later he staged an unexpected comeback going on to regain the heavyweight title in 1994, 20 years after he had lost it to Muhammad Ali.
Foreman’s inspiring comeback made him a natural fit for Salton in 1994 as they looked to brand their new contact grills, called the Lean, Mean, Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine.
In 2007, Applica acquired Salton and with it, the George Foreman® brand.
